Hello Team Slam Members,

I have been working on the security of the site and servers. So I am sure many of you have noticed the site down often and changing. Well, this started when a script kiddie decided to take advantage of a SQL injection vulnerability on a component used in the site. It is now patched and hopefully will stop these annoying types of website attacks and defacing. The interesting thing is this site has no value to anyone except Team Slam members and affiliated support members. These new and updated security measures may cause some issues with a few users. Sorry! if that means you, just email me and hopefully we can find a solution.

Security updates include:

Implementation of a newer and more effective Firewall.
Intrusion prevention and detection daemon.
Security updates to Apache and PHP.
Better event logging and tracking. Security alerts.
Numerous server security updates.
Numerous server software updates.
Increase website security level to maximum.
and many many more.....

Hello all,

We now have 16 registered users on the team website.  Some members are asking about the team history and how to upload personal images.  To be brief, the history or "About Us" section is currently under construction by our Team Leaders.  I have enabled comments under the About Us section to allow all members to add comments and bits of their history with Team Slam since the Owls and Eagles.  George has added commentary to assist with the history and others "new and old" members can give their history as well.  Once the ethnography is complete we should have a very unique and very exciting story for all to enjoy.

For users and members with photos, music, or movies they want to share follow the simple steps to upload your files.

First is loading of bicycles.  This will be at the parking lot to the west (in front of) Target.  Drop off time begins at 5:30 pm and runs until 8:00 pm.  Please plan on getting your bicycles to the trucks for loading as close to the 5:30 hour as possible because of the remaining arrangements.  For those of you flying in from out of town, we will be able to coordinate bike pickup and transport from Lynn's and Grant's house.

Already, Sawyer has shown that he's a Team SLAM player.  He was born 16 hours after Grandpa arrived home from Colorado and his birth date gives Dad the maximum time at home before RAGBRAI.

Team Slam Website LOGO PDF Print E-mail
MyBlog
Written by Terry Reynolds

UPDATE:  I dropped the embossed 3D effect of OUTLAST.  The Team SLAM logo now reads in the correct order.  I simplified the effects because Microsoft Internet Explorer does not reconize a 24 bit, Alpha Transparency PNG correctly and thus will show up really wierd with some type of outlined mess.  Simply stated there are some JAVA and CSS fixes but I really do not want to customize the code specifically to accomodate a none standard concern.  Okay enough BLAB!

Many of you have noticed that the Logo is showing incorrectly.  There are two noticeable issues.  First, the Logo reads "OUTBIKE, OUTLAST, OUTPARTY" the order is incorrect for the way it appears.  However, the Logo was to be this order with "OUTLAST" embossed
